Food-related Book

I am going to introduce a book I am reading as part of my class. The book is called, "The Meaning of Rice -A Culinary Tour of Japan-" written by Michael Booth .  It was published from Vintage in 2018. I chose to read this book because it was a book related to Japan, and I also wanted to know what kind of meaning rice has. I learned that this book is about the author, Michael Booth, and his family going on an epic journey in Japan to explore its dazzling food culture. They discover intriguing future food trends and meet a fascinating cast of food heroes.  The book has 35 chapters and the sections are divided by areas of Japan. Each chapter talks about a specific food. How it's divided by food makes me easier to understand that the author is going to talk about different kind of foods ad how rice is related to that. Michael Booth is an English food and travel writer and journalist. He writes regularly for a variety of newspapers and magazines. He has written other books...

Analyzing a food blog

Today, I will be analyzing a food blog as a part of my assignment in class. The name of the blog is called " For the Love of the South. "  The purpose of this blog seems to be sharing the love of Southern foods.  The person who created this blog is called  Amber Wilson , and she began this blog in January 2012. Visitors can leave comments and there were many comments on all of the menus. They were commenting about how lovely the photos were and the impressions for the recipe. Other tha...

Welcome to my food blog!

This is my food blog and I created this as a part of my food culture class I'm taking at a private Japanese university in Tokyo. I am planning to post on a weekly basis about food. I am a university student in Japan, and I have interest in different kinds of food and food culture.  I used to live in the States for four years and in the Philippines for three years, so I have been exposed to various food cultures. I hope I can share a lot of things including my experience through this blog!
